I swear if it weren't for the family under this roof I wouldn't know how I'd handle things. I can't help but laugh at little random "stupid" things. They really are what keep me going. Looking at the positive is the only way I can honestly see myself pushing into another day.
Yesterday I was so frustrated that I screamed! Yeah, I seriously screamed and just felt like I was 8 again with the temper tantrum I had. I feel so damn limited to what it is that I can do and it's driving me mad! I have issues breathing the way I should, therefore I'm on Predisone to help open my lungs. Gotta love borderline Pneumonia! Let's just add more friggen pills to the mix. Yesterday I had to take SIX Predisone to jump start this crap from staying in my chest. I have to continue taking Predisone for the next 4 days, too. Every four hours I'm taking 2 puffs of Albuteral, and then of course I'm take 1600mg of antibiotics daily. That's not to count the daily medication I'm on for my regular health problems. I feel so damn limited and disabled to my family. Today, my daughter and husband are out delivering the route because I can't handle the cold in my chest cavity. I cough so badly and my chest tightens up so fast that I can barely breathe at all.
This morning I came upstairs as breakfast was cooking to get myself some chap stick and as I was going down the steps I fell down and landed on my left wrist and my toes hit the wall hard. It was such a hard fall that the chap stick ended up all the way in the bathroom under the vanity. The distance from where I fell to the bathroom is about 10-12 feet. So now I'm in pain from that. After getting up to finish making breakfast, I made D and Claire some hot tea to take with him to attempt to stay warm while delivering the route. As I poured the hot tea into one of the thermoses it spilled onto my left hand and burnt the hell out of it. I ran it under cold water to help with the painful sensation. Then I began to do dishes so I could get them into the dishwasher and a dish slipped out of my hand, only to break a plate within the sink. This morning has been quite an event to say the least. So needless to say, I think God is trying to tell me to slow down and actually rest today! So, I'm planting my feet a bit more when I walk and I'm going slower so I can avoid anymore accidents.
Now onto the good things.... I'm back in school and doing well at it. I'm only two tests in, but am averaging a 90% thus far. If I stay on schedule for school I'll be completed October of this year, which would be wonderful because it'd allow me to give up the delivery route before winter hits again and I'd be able to work in my desired field. The more I read about the chosen profession of mine, the more I'm realizing this is what I really want to do! There are so many possibilities within the Veterinary Assistant job and it makes me so glad to see the working at a shelter is one of those possibilities. It also makes me happy that I'm able to work in the field that allows me to grow into other area's and not just one particular for the rest of my life.
Claire is doing alright in school. Her grades have slipped this past quarter and she hasn't been doing as well as I'd have hoped for her. She has however gone up a level in her tutoring. When she went to Great Western Academy she was ranked in a 2nd grade reading level and her math skills were super low but now she's working hard on getting to grade level or higher by the end of the tutoring so that she's ready for her Ohio Achievement testing that comes up in March and April. These scores will determine whether or not she will be kept in 3rd grade next year. If the scores aren't high enough to D and I, we will hold her back to make sure she is actually ready for 4th grade because honestly, everything that she is to be proficient with in 3rd grade will only make it harder in 4th if she doesn't become proficient enough.
D's doing well in school. He got bombarded with a lot of tasks for his class the first week because they didn't have class the first week and then again the 3rd week because of holidays. So he really got slammed hard with a lot of homework. But, he's pulling through. He did make an animation for his one class that was
pretty damn awesome. D also got a new car, that he's wanted for so long. It's a Mazda 3 hatchback.
Psycho Siamese, aka Ninja, has recovered fully from her surgery and is back at playing like a kitten again. Her and Minks are best friends. They chase each other down the steps and back up them. Then everywhere else one can hide from the other and suddenly a paw comes out from whatever furniture the one is under. Ninja is still small and she can fit under pretty much everything, including our couch and entertainment center, but Minks can not. So when Minks walks away, you'll just see a paw come out initiating playtime with Minks from Ninja! It's so funny how Minks HATED Ninja when she first got her. So much that Minks refused to be inside for the first 3 weeks of us having her and then when I MADE Minks stay inside because of how cold it was getting, it was a growl fest that Ninja wanted no part of. Minks was no longer the baby and I think that truly made her feel betrayed. But, after putting them in a crate together for about 40 minutes, soon after they became okay with one another and then a short time after becoming okay, they became best friends.
I think that's about all that is going on here. Just been super busy trying to juggle things here around the house and making sure I can handle all that is thrown at me.
